** LATEST NEWS **

  • 28 April - A late goal sinks Harriers and clinches a play-off spot for Hartlepool. Harriers are awarded their first penalty of the season, but Drewe Broughton has his weak kick saved.
  • 28 April - Hartlepool visit Aggborough this afternoon for Harriers' last home game of the season. The promtion chasers will be looking for maximum points to keep themselves in the fourth position they currently occupy just in case Chesterfield are punished more severely. Harriers have injury doubts surrounding Paul Webb and Drewe Broughton who both have hamstring problems. Webb is the most doubtful but Broughton should make it. Hartleppol should be at full strength. Expect Harriers to line up as follows: Clarke, Medou-Otye, Stamps, Doyle, Hinton, Smith, Bennett, MacKenzie, Hadley, Durnin, Skovbjerg. Also this afternoon Harriers end of season awards are to be presented.
  • 23 April - Harriers have announced eight matches for their warm-up programme. The highlights are three home games against Bristol City, WBA, and Birmingham City. The games begin at Bromsgrove Rovers on July 14, and also include trips to Halesowen Harriers, Evesham, Redditch and Halesowen Town
  • 21 April - Drewe Broughton returns to the squad for today's trip to Cheltenham having completed a two match ban. The big striker played in the reserves in midweek but was unable to find the net. Harriers are likely to field a different side to the one that beat Plymouth on Monday as Molby wants to combat the aerial threat of the hosts, particularly at set pieces. With that in mind, expect Harriers to line-up as follows: Clarke, Clarkson, Stamps, MacKenzie, Hinton, Shail, Bennett, Smith, Broughton, Hadley, Skovbjerg.
  • 18 April - Molby makes playing comeback! Manager Jan Molby played the last 20 minutes of the Reserves' 6-0 win over Tamworth at Aggborough coming on as a substitute for Peter Faulds and showed the rest of the team how to pass, not once giving the ball away.
  • 16 April - Jan Molby made five changes to the side for today's game, including naming Craig Hinton as captain, and the players responded magnificently by running out 3-0 victors. The win was Harriers' biggest since promotion to the FOotball League, and sets up next weekend's trip to Cheltenham nicely.
  • 16 April - Scott Stamps returns to the Harriers squad for this afternoon's visit of Plymouth to Aggborough. The left-back has completed a two game suspension and should return straight into the team as manager Jan Molby is likely to make changes to the side that was defeated at Chesterfield on Saturday. Expect Harriers to line-up as follows: Brock, Clarkson, Stamps, Webb, Hinton, Shail, Bennett, Smith, Hadley, Durnin, Skovbjerg.
  • 14 April - The Chesterfield bandwagon keeps rolling on, Harriers fall to the league leaders by the only goal of the game at Saltergate. The Spireites deserved their victory as Harriers showed nothing up front again, but apart from the goal defended well to soak up Chesterfield pressure.
  • 14 April - Drewe Broughton begins a two match ban today for accumulating 10 yellow cards and so along with Scott Stamps is missing for today's trip to leaders Chesterfield. A win for the home team would be enough to ensure promotion if their nine point penalty is not confirmed, either way Harriers will want to spoil the party. Harriers probable line-up: Clarke, Clarkson, Medou-Otye, Webb, Hinton, Shail, Bennett, MacKenzie, Hadley, Durnin, Skovbjerg.
  • 11 April - The reserves beat Hednesford tonight, but the club also announced that they have pulled out of the League Cup to ease the number of Reserve and Youth fixtures while the whole of the Worcester Royal Infirmary Cup for this season has been abandoned.
  • 7 April - Torrential rain spoils the game as Harriers suffer their first ever defeat in a league game at Macclesfield. The gamed had started quite brightly, but once terrible defending had gifted the home team a goal Harriers never looked like getting bck on equal terms despite having most of the possession.
  • 7 April - Harriers travel to old Conference rivals Macclesfield this afternoon looking to build on the victory gained last weekend over Shrewsbury. Thomas Skovbjerg is the only injury worry with a small back problem, but he should make it, but Scott Stamps will be missing through suspension. In the past, Harriers' trips to Moss Rose have been very fruitful and today they will hope to capitalise on this fact and record their first double of the season. Harriers will probably line-up as follows: Clarke, Clarkson, Medou-Otye, Webb, Hinton, Shail, Bennett, Smith, Broughton, Durnin, Skovbjerg.
