  • 28 August - Witnessed by Des Lynam, Harriers record their first away win of the season on their first visit to Brighton's Withdean Stadium. Jan Molby changed his team around to combat the home team, bringing Mark Shail back in and again playing Bird and Foster on the wings. After a dour goalless first half, Harriers caught Brighton on the attack, Tony Bird got away on the right and crossed low to the far post where Ian Foster was waiting to score his first of the season. The result was put beyond doubt when Ian Bogie set Dean Bennett free and he raced clear to score his first of the season. Stuart Brock came in for Tim Clarke and prove to be a more than able deputy, pulling off a string of saves to keep Brighton at bay.
  • 26 August - Harriers continue their good start with a deserved 2-1 win over The Shaymen. Despite going behind against the run of play, two goals from Stewart Hadley gave Harriers the points. Hadley is now the leading scorer in Division 3 with 4 gols in all competitions.
  • 25 August - Paul Webb is set to miss tomorrow's game with Halifax as he is still suffering from the leg injury sustained at Scunthorpe. Expect Harriers to line-up Clarke, Clarkson, Stamps, Bogie, Hinton, Shail, Bennett, Horne, Foster, Bird, Hadley.
  • 22 August - Harriers tonight marked their Worthington Cup debut with an excellent 1-1 draw at Walsall. Stewart Hadley was again the history maker scoring the clubs' first goal in the competition as Harriers came from behind in an entertaining cup tie. Jann Molby made several changes to his line-up, bringing in Mark Shail for his debut and deployed Tony Bird and Ian Foster as wide men. Harriers suffered an early setback when Portuguese star Jorge Leitao swept the Saddlers into the lead but fought back strongly and deservedly equalised midway through the second half. Despite some late scares, Harriers held on for the draw which sets up the second leg at Aggborough in a fortnight very nicely.
  • 21 August - Paul Webb is Harriers' only fresh injury worry ahead of tomorrow's Worthington Cup tie at Walsall. The experienced midfielder picked up a knock to his ankle in the incident with Nigel Pepper at Scunthrpe on Saturday. Expect his place to be taken by Ian Bogie in the midfield. St@tto's predicted line-up: Clarke, Clarkson, Stamps, Bogie, Hinton, Smith, Bennett, Horne, Bird, Ducros, Hadley.
  • 19 August - Harriers this afternoon suffered their first defeat of the season against ten-man Scunthorpe at Glanford Park. Iron captain was Nigel Pepper was dismissed after just 16 minutes for throwing a punch at Paul Webb. Poor defendeing shortly afterwards allowed Steve Torpey to head the home team ahead. Harriers matched Scunthorpe for most of the match for both fitness and talent but fell down in the final third of the field where they were not quite incisive enough, Andy Ducros' long range effort the only on target attempt for the Harriers in the first half. After the break the game continued to flow from end to end, but just as Harriers were bulding up some momentum Scunthorpe scored again to end the game, Graves scoring with a measured chip over Tim Clarke.
  • 18 August - New signing Ian Bogie is added to the Harriers squad for tomorrow's game at Scunthorpe's Glanford Park. Missing will be Steve Pope and Thomas Skovbjerg who are both injured. St@tto's predicts the Harriers to line up as follows: Clarke, Clarkson, Stamps, Webb, Hinton, Smith, Bennett, Horne, Foster, Ducros, Hadley.
  • 15 August - Ian Bogie is set to join the Harriers tomorrow morning. Despite interest from Luton and Darlington, the former Port Vale playmaker who turned out for Harriers at Boston in a friendly last week, has agreed a two year contract at Aggborough.
  • 12 August - League football begins at Aggborough with a superb 2-0 victory over Torquay United. Goals from Stewart Hadley and a screamer from Barry Horne gave Harriers a convincing win. Always in control, it was Harriers who looked like the experienced team and Torquay the newly promoted side. More performances like this are required to see Harriers repeat the successes of last season.
  • 11 August - The season kicks off tomorrow, Harriers will take on Torquay with an almost complete squad for manager Jan Molby to pick from, missing will be the suspended Steve Pope and goalkeeper Brendan Murphy who has a thigh injury. St@tto predicts the following to be the Harriers line-up for this historic match: Clarke, Clarkson, Stamps, Webb, Shail, Smith, Bennett, Horne, Bird, Foster, Ducros. Harriers will be led by Ian Clarkson who was this week named as the new captain ahead of Mark Shail who has been leading the side in the pre-season games.
  • 5 August - Experienced midfielder Ian Bogie made a surprise appearance in the Harriers midfield at Boston. The former Newcastle, Preston, Millwall, Leyton Orient and Port Vale player looked comfortable in partnership with Barry Horne as Harriers ended their pre-season programme with a 1-1 draw at Conference newcomers Boston. Stats.
  • 3 August - Finally, after a period of uncertainty, Barry Horne has put pen to paper and signed a one year contract with the Harriers.
  • 3 August - With injuries to key defenders Scott Stamps and Craig Hinton, manager Jan Molby is considering bringing in a replacement on loan in time for the start of the season next Saturday. He was quoted by Tim Nash in the Express & Star as saying, "We always have the loan system on our side if we need it. It's not just something we will use in an emergency - if the right player comes along the we will look at it".
  • 2 August - Stourport Swifts were defeated 3-0 at Walshes Meadow tonight, Andy Ducros scoring twice and Tony Bird the other. Harriers were always comfortably in control of the game, the gulf in class was a little too much for the Swifts and Harriers loooked much sharper than in the previous match at Northwich at the weekend. Stats.
  • 1 August - Phil King has departed Aggborough. A settlement has been reached on the remaining year of his contract and he now joins Bath City on a free transfer. At Twerton Park he will link up with another former Harrier Jimmy Fraser. In his time at Aggborough, King played 17 times and scored 3 goals (NC:7+7 apps, 2 goals; FAT: 1,0; WSC:2,1).
