** LATEST NEWS **

  • 31 December - Harriers travel to Torquay tomorrow (hopefully!) looking to record their first double of the season after the 2-0 opening day win at Aggborough. Harriers will have several players available after injury: Ian Foster (hamstring), Paul Webb (groin), Ian Clarkson (hamstring), Adie Smith (achillies), Parfait Medou-Otye (knee), Dean Bennett and Ian Bogie (back) have all been receiving treatment and are now ready to challenge for places. However, after the convincing victory over Mansfield on Boxing Day, Harriers may field an unchanged team: Brock, Medou-Otye, Stamps, Bogie, Shail, MacKenzie, Horne, Durnin, Ducros, Hadley.
  • 30 December - Despite the efforts of an army of volunteers to clear the Aggborough pitch, match referee Mr Stretton declared the surface unsuitable and postponed the match.
  • 29 December - Around 50 volunteers helped clear snow of the Aggborough pitch today, including Jan Molby and some players, before an afternoon pitch inspection. The game was not called off, but there will be a further inspection at 10am. Volunteers are again invited to go to Aggborough from 8am to help clear the overnight frost.
  • 28 December - The heavy snow over night has thrown Saturday's fixture into doubt. With the pitch already under a carpet of snow another downfall could could see the game called off, as would the failure of the current snow to clear.
  • 25 December - Harriers entertain Mansfield tomorrow afternoon looking to maintain the recent improvement in form. In the last ten matches Hariers have only been beaten twice, and have not lost at home in the league since the visit of Chesterfield in late October. With the crowded fixture list over the holiday, expect Jan Molby to rotate the squad. With Ian Clarkson, Adie Smith and Paul Webb all doubtful, there may not be too many changes tomorrow, although Ian Bogie may return in midfield.
  • 19 December - Steve Pope has agred to extend his loan spell at Moor Green for a further month. Moor Green have seen an upturn in results since the aarrival of the Harriers defender.
  • 11 December - Should tomorrow's game take place, there is a pitch inspepction at 9 in the morning, Harriers are likely to make changes to the side. Tim Clarke could return in goal, while Neil MacKenzie and Parfait Medou-Otye are set to start for the first time. Ben Davies and Andy Corbett could also figure at some stage.
  • 10 December - More disappointment in the FA Cup, Carlisle have pulled out a home tie with Arsenal. Also Andy Brownrigg has left Morton for Stocksbridge Park Steels of the Unibond League First Division.
  • 9 December - A very disappointing performance by Harriers sees them dumped out of the FA Cup by the League's bottom team Carlisle. A goal in each half wrapped the game up for the Cumbrians.
  • 8 December - FA Cup day tomorrow sees Carlisle come down again for the second time this week, hopefully with more success in getting the game played. Harriers have an injury doubt over Ian Foster who has a groin problem, while Paul Webb is definitely out with a similar injury which requires treatment. Harriers will probably line-up as follows: Brock, Clarkson, Stamps, Bogie, Hinton, Shail, Smith, Horne, Durnin, Ducros, Foster.
  • 6 December - The LDV Vans Trophy tie against Carlisle has been rearranged for next Tuesday, December 12. Also, the Plymouth game has now been fixed for January 30.
  • 5 December - The weather got the better of tonight's game at Aggborough against Carlisle. The referee made the decison to call it off at 7pm.
The match at Shrewsbury on December 16 has bee declared all ticket.
  • 2 December - The floodlights go out on Harriers as they record their third consecutive win. The game against Maclesfield was held up for twelve minutes during the second half before Harriers could finish off their 2-1 victory.
