** LATEST NEWS **

  • 31 March - Harriers come out on top in the local derby, beating Shrewsbury 3-1 at Aggborough. Goals from John Durnin, Craig Hinton and Drewe Broughton earned Harriers their first win since February 20.
  • 30 March - Two Harriers have left Aggborough, although only on loan until the end of the season. Brenan Murphy has moved to Solihull, while Thomas Poston has gone to Moor Green.
  • 24 March - At long last a goal is scored, Dean Bennett hits a late consolation as Harriers slip to defeat at Exeter. Dreadful defending in the opening period gifted Exeter a two goal lead, and Harriers' dismal day is completed when Scott Stamps is sent off in injury time for swearing at the referee.
  • 24 March - Harriers travel to Exeter today for a lunchtime kick-off desperately looking to end a run of 378 minutes without a goal. Missing from the squad will be Parfait Medou-Otye and Adie Smith who are both still struggling with injury. Tony Bird will return after missing Tuesday's game at Shrewsbury as he had been involved in a car crash earlier in the day. Harriers probable line-up: Clarke, Clarkson, Stamps, Webb, Hinton, Shail, Bennett, Durnin, Bird, Broughton, Skovbjerg.
  • 23 March - Ian Bogie has been released on a free transfer. The Geordie has not settled properly at Kidderminster since his pre-season move from Port Vale as his family are still up in the North-East. As yet he has no new club.
  • 22 March - There was no deadline day activity at Aggborough, although Harriers just missed out on signing Neil Midgley who has been given a free transfer by Ipswich. He has instead gone to Barnet who made an offer Harriers could not match. Also on the move were Richard Burgess who went from Bromsgrove to Port Vale, he played for Harriers on loan from Stoke last season, and Ashley Dodd who goes on loan to Port Vale from Manchester United. He has played for Harriers Reserves once this season.
  • 20 March - Harriers' poor form continues, a fourth consecutive goalless draw looked a certainty at Shrewsbury until sloppy defending at a corner gave Shrewsbury a last minute winner. Thomas Skovbjerg, starting a League game for the irst time, was the high point for Harriers. He tormented Leon Drysdale at left back as if he had never been away, and had one blistering volley tipped over the bar by Neil Edwards. On an uneven and soft pitch, with a stiff breeze blowing, good football was always going to be scarce, but Harriers had good chances to open the scoring in the second half, Drewe Broughton lobbed just over and John Durnin shot high after the ball kicked up just as he was about to shoot. Harriers are now four games without a goal.
  • 19 March - Once again a vacant managerial position has been linked to Jan Molby. Tranmere Rovers, bottom of the first division, are the latest club to be connected with the Harriers manager. Amongst others connected with the job is former Manchester United and England star Steve Coppell.
  • 17 March - A third consecutive goalless draw as Harriers are held at Aggborough by struggling Darlington. The visitors were the worst team Harriers have faced this season, but despite playing in a 4-3-3 formation Harriers coudn't break them down.
  • 13 March - Harriers face an in-form Scunthorpe at Aggborough tonight without the services of Adie Smith and Neil MacKenzie who are both still injured. Jan Molby my be tempted to stick with the team that defended so well at Rochdale on Saturday, although being at home he may opt for a more attacking formation. Harriers probable line-up: Clarke, Clarkson, Stamps, Doyle, Hinton, Shail, Bennett, Webb, Bird, Davies, Broughton. If selected, Paul Webb can expect a hot reception from the visiting support for his part in the incident that ended with Scunthorpe's Nigel Pepper breaking his leg in the first meeting of teams at Glandford Park in August.
Harriers also announced today that they have signed a kit deal with Le Coq for the next three years from June. The three shortlisted designs for next season's strip will be featured in the programme for tonight's game.
  • 10 March - A well earned point is the reward for a disciplined defensive performance at Spotland as Harriers hold Rochdale to a 0-0 draw. Dean Bennett had a great chance to snatch a late winner but was denied by the Rochdale keeper. Ian Clarkson picked up a yellow card which was his fifth of the season and he faces a suspension for the trip to Exeter in a fortnight.
  • 10 March - Harriers travel to Rochdale fo the first time today, and are likely to be without Neil MacKenzie who picked up an injury in training. Thomas Skovbjerg and Stewart Hadley are still in need of match fitness and are likely to start on the bench. Definitely out is Adie Smith while Scott Stamps is in the squad despite limping out of the game on Tuesday. Expect Harriers to line-up as follows: Clarke, Clarkson, Medou-Otye, Bogie, Hinton, Shail, Bennett, Webb, Broughton, Ducros, Durnin.
  • 8 March - Barry Horne has been released by the club, he will leave straight away and not figure again.
  • 6 March - The return of Thomas Skovbjerg is the only bright point in another poor performance as Hariers crash 3-1 at home to Lincoln.
  • 3 March - The worst performance of the season sees Harriers thrashed 5-1 at Blackpool.
  • 3 March - Thomas Skovbjerg is named in the squad for today's trip to Blackpool, the first time this season that he has been included for a league game. The return of the Danish star is offset by the loss of Adie Smith who could be out for two to three weeks with a groin injury he picked up against Cardiff last Sunday. Also missing from the squad will be Andy Corbett who has joined Redditch on a one month loan. I predict the following Harriers line-up: Clarke, Clarkson, Stamps, Doyle, Hinton, Shail, Bennett, Webb, Broughton, MacKenzie, Durnin.
