Molby Happy With Harriers' Effort
May 2
Harriers boss Jan Molby was happy with the improved performance from his players in yesterday's draw with Torquay United at Plainmoor.
"I was pleased with the attitude" - Jan Molby
Speaking after the game, which he had to watch from the directors' box as he started a four-game toucline ban, he said, "Today the players worked as hard as they possibly could. I have no complaints, even if we had lost 1-0, because we played some very good stuff at a very difficult place to come to. I was pleased with the attitude, energy and desire they showed".
It was clear from his comments, however, that he felt that Harriers perhaps should have got an even better result than they did, "In the first half, we hung in there and competed and I felt that they were very lucky to get a goal. It was a goal out of nothing. You don't see many strikes like that at this level but that is what David Graham is capable of.
"In the second half, being 1-0 down, we tried to force them on to the back foot and I think we managed to do that. For a large part of the second period we played some good stuff and had an awful lot of chances. Really, at the end, if there was anyone going to win it was us".
