Hatswell Sweeps Board At Awards Ceremony

Award Winner Wayne Hatswell  (c) David Purslow Harriers skipper Wayne Hatswell was the clear winner at the club's end of season awards ceremony yesterday.  Of the five awards presented before the start of the game against Boston United he picked up three.

The first award of the afternoon was presented to the Clubman Of The Year, chosen by the board of directors it is given to a person who has made a big contribution either on or off the field, and this season it was awarded to Nick Griffiths for his work with the Community Scheme.

A special award was made to recognise Graham Ward's achievement of becoming Harriers' first senior international when he was called up to represent Ireland at Under-21 level.

The Kidderminster Shuttle Man-of-the-Match award is presented to the player who is chosen most times as man-of-the-match by their reporters and this one went to Hatswell.

The Junior Supporters Club Player of the Season, voted for exclusively by members of Harriers' Junior Supporters Club also went to Hatswell.

The all-important Supporters' Player of the Year vote was a third, overwhelming, victory for the popular captain.

The final award was the Young Player of the Year, chosen by a select committee, and went to promising right back Simon Fitter.
