Match Report by St@tto
Harriers strolled to victory in a hastily arranged behind-closed-doors friendly against Dr Martens League side Evesham United.

Harriers lined up at full strength with both new signings Fraser Digby and Dion Scott featuring from the start.  Digby took over from Stuart Brock in goal and Scott took the place of the injured Kenny Coleman on the right hand side of the back three.  Evesham featured a number of former Harriers: Mark Wolsey, Jay Powell, Gary Barnett, Mark Shepherd, Grant Pinkney, Adam Blake and Craig Ladek and the on-loan Inderpaul Khela.

The home team comfortably controlled the game from the start and deservedly took the lead after ten minutes, Dean Bennett got to the byline on the right and crossed to Bo Henriksen who laid the ball back into the path of Sean Parrish who neatly slotted it into the bottom corner from the edge of the penalty area.  The Evesham keeper was kept on his toes saving from Andy Bishop, Craig Hinton and Bo Henriksen before Harriers doubled their advantage after half an hour.  Sam Shilton received the ball on the left and broke into the United penalty area and tucked his shot under the advancing keeper.  One setback for Harriers in the first half came when Khela was carried off on a stretcher to be replaced by Paul West.

After the break Harriers changed formation, removing the wing-backs and going to 3-4-3 with Ian Foster and Drewe Broughton joining the attack.  Soon after it was changed again, Abdou Sall replacing Bo Henriksen and Andy Ducros moving in front of the midfield changing the formation to 4-3-1-2.  By this time, however, Harriers were three up, Henriksen found Foster on the right wing and his cross was headed in decisively by Bennett at the near post.

Eventually Evesham forced Digby into action, the Harriers defence that had stood strong throughout was breached and Pinkney was allowed to get a shot in that the keeper dealt with comfortably.  Harriers stretched their lead further after 64 minutes, a corner from the left was not cleared properly and eventually the ball fell to Sall who turned and hit a low shot past the substitute keeper Ladek.  The last decisive action of the game came after 84 minutes when Harriers completed the scoring, Sean Parrish crossed deep from the left and despite Ladek's clear call Powell headed the ball over him and into his own net.
