Harriers move to the top of Group B in the League Cup with their
second comfortable victory over Worcester in the space of a week.
Victory over Hereford in their final group match will see them into
the next round.
Trialist Michael Fowler opened the scoring with a well placed shot from 20 yards after Tony Bird had worked the ball to him. Bird was involved again in the second half, he got to the by-line before pulling the ball back for Andy Corbett to score from close range. Worcester had a great chance soon after but Jamie Hyde after taking the ball round Graham Abel contrived to put his shot wide from six yards. Andy Corbett completed the scoring with his fifth goal of the season, Tony Bird was again the provider, his low cross from the right found Corbett in acres of space and he was able to control the ball before tucking it away. |
