Match Report by St@tto
Poor defending cost Harriers their second successive home defeat, this time at the hands of Walsall.

Harriers started the game brightly and were first to threaten to score.  The ball was played in from the right and Richard Langford's challenge on the keeper caused it to run free to Ashley Pringle on the edge of the area and his first time shot was well saved by Dean Coleman to concede a corner.  At the other end Perry had a couple of long range shots that didn't trouble Daniel O'Gorman in the Harriers goal.

After 28 minutes Harriers had another good chance, Michael Xiourouppa turned the full-back inside out on the right and pulled the ball back for Adam Blake on the edge of the penalty area but his shot was well saved by Coleman who saw it late.  Harriers were playing the better football at this stage and soon after went even closer to opening the scoring with Carl Dudley's header that was cleared off the goal line by Branch.

The goal eventually came in stoppage time at the end of the first half but it was Walsall who scored it.  The ball was played over the top of the Harriers defence and Taiwo Atieno outpaced his marker before planting his shot past O'Gorman.  Harriers were not happy, however, feeling that the striker had been offside.

After the break Walsall began to gain the upper hand and went further ahead after 53 minutes.  A mistake in the Harriers defence gave possession away to Perry and he was able to take his time in picking his spot and gave O'Gorman little chance.  Twelve minutes later the third goal arrived.  Chris McHale brought down Atieno on the edge of the penalty area, for which he received a yellow card, and from the resultant free-kick O'Gorman was left rooted to the spot as John Harkness curled his shot over the wall and into the far corner.

By now the early promise that Harriers had shown was gone and it appeared as if there was going to be no way back into the game for them while the visitors looked completely in control.  Adam Blake almost gave Harriers a glimmer of hope with a 20 yard free kick that went narrowly wide but Coleman in the Walsall goal was never really threatened either by it or any other Harriers attack before the end of the game.
