Match Report by St@tto
Harriers strengthened their position at the top of the league with a well-deserved win over Burton at Bromsgrove.

Burton are one of Harriers' main challengers for the title and a win would have sent them to the top, so a tough match was guaranteed.  Harriers began to exert themselves from the start and created a string of chances, Nick Heath and Terence Carpenter were both denied by Richard Keeling in the visitors' goal in the opening period.

Burton soaked up a lot of pressure but didn't create much themselves although John Danby was called into action by Jon Brown and Richard Wilson.  Harriers eventually opened the scoring late in the first half, Carpenter's pass set Langford free on the right and his cross to the far post was turned in by Matt Lewis at the far post.

The second half continued in a similar fashion with Harriers well on top and Burton's frustration began to get the better of them.  On a number of occasions players were spoken to by the referee after shows of petulance when decisions didn't go their way.  Harriers' domination almost led to a second goal for Lewis but his shot struck the post, and a second attempt was saved by Keeling a short time later.

Harriers killed the game off with two quick goals midway through the second half, Lewis broke into the penalty area on the left and pulled the ball back to Richard Bailey who slotted it home, and four minutes later substitute Michael Xiourouppa curled a shot into the top corner from the edge of the penalty area to make it 3-0.
