Match Report by St@tto

Harriers brought down the curtain on their season with their ninth win in the last ten games, a hard-fought win in difficult conditions at Coleshill.

With lightning flashing and thunder crashing above the game kicked off in torrential rain and started as explosively as the weather.  Harriers were awarded a free kick 20 yards from goal after just two minutes and Tom Byrne curled it around the wall and into the back of the net to give the visitors the lead.  They were only in front for a minute, however, as they failed to deal with a corner from the left and Jo Clarke lashed in the loose ball at the far post.  Coleshill could have gone ahead before ten minutes had elapsed but Adrian Caldicott's lob was cleared off the line by Joe Corbett.  Andy Baker, making a rare start, was quite lively in attack and should have done better after jinking his way into the penalty area but shot weakly at Sean Butler.

After the break two goals in quick succession won the game for Harriers; Mitch Butler dispossessed the home keeper and rolled the ball across the face of goal, the cross was half-cleared as far as Scott Eaton who fired in from the edge of the penalty area, his third goal in two games.  Three minutes later a Byrne free-kick from deep on the left was headed in at the near post by Tom Meyrick.  The game was killed off as a contest now and became a real end-of-season game.  After hitting another shot weakly at the goalkeeper, Baker headed wide of the near post from Byrne's corner from the left.
