Match Report by St@tto
Harriers returned to the top of the league with a convincing victory at lowly Warwick, completing the double over their hosts having beaten them by the same score earlier in the season.

Playing on a dreadfully uneven surface Harriers set about the home team straight away and spent most of the first half encamped in the Warwick half. Harriers created a string of chances and Warwick were indebted to their keeper Gemmell who kept them in the game saving from Henry, Carpenter, Khela and Yates.

Eventually the breakthrough came, Richard Langford chased a long though ball, outpaced the defence and tucked a shot under Gemmell into the bottom corner. Harriers could have been further ahead by the break, Michael Glynn missed a number of chances, Adam Smallman put one over the bar when it seemed easier to score and Lee Yates hit a post.

After the break Warwick had a brief five minute spell when they were in the game, the only period of pressure they had in the whole game. A crucial change was made at half time as the home team took off their best player, goalkeeper Gemmell, and replaced him with Bryan. The new keeper made two errors in less than a minute which led to Harriers goals and made the scoreline more representative of the game. First he allowed himself to be dispossessed of the ball by Terence Carpenter who then ran round him and rolled the ball into the open goal. Forty-one seconds later he missed Garner's long pass and left Langford with an easy tap in.

Harriers continued to create chances at will, Langford wasted several as he searched for his hat-trick, and Glynn put some more over the crossbar. The fourth goal duly came, a corner from the right caused confusion in the home goal area, Langford's header was blocked but sub Andy Crabtree followed up to head in and complete the scoring and record a well deserved eighth win in ten league games.
