Match Report
Harriers continued their good form, and maintained their position at the top of the league, with a comfortable victory at Bedworth.

Playing on a dreadful surface, and into a strong wind Harriers dominated possession throughout, but the game was very scrappy. Goalmouth action was sparse, and the first clear cut chance didn't come until midway through the half when Nick Heath had his 20 yard shot parried by Oddy and Richard Langford followed up to fire in the loose ball for his fifth goal of the season.

Bedworth had a brief spell late in the half when they began to get into the game, and shortly before the interval they gave Harriers a scare. Oddy's long wind assisted clearance put Bedworth on the attack, John Danby raced out of his goal to clear bubut handled the ball outside the penalty area. Fortunately he was only shown a yellow card, and United then wasted the free-kick, hitting it against the wall.

After the break, Harriers continued to control the game but didn't build on the lead for some time. Richard Bailey had a good chance but delayed his shot, allowing the keeper to save. The second goal came on the hour, Nick Heath floated a free-kick over from the right and Inderpaul Khela scored at the far post with a diving header. In the process of scoring, however, Khela was injured and was replaced by McHale.

Eventually Bedworth threatened the Harriers goal, sub Mick Crawley forced a save from Danby with less than fifteen minutes remaining, their first on target attempt. Harriers saw out time in much the same way that they had played the whole game, well within their capabilities, and fully deserved their victory.
