Three goals in twelve minutes saw Harriers to a comfortable and deserved victory over Quorn that moves them up to third in the league.

Right from the start goals looked likely, the Harriers defence disappeared after just three minutes leaving Ross Locker unmarked in the penalty area but he curled his shot onto the bar.  Two minutes later Michael Xiourouppa created an opening for Rob Taylor whose shot was defelected over and then soon afterwards Richard Langford headed Nick Heath's cross over.

Harriers took the lead after 12 minutes, Xiourouppa found Heath in space on the left, his shot was saved but he reacted quickest to fire in the loose ball.  Nine minutes later the advantage was doubled, Xiourouppa was again involoved starting the move with James Dyke crossing from the left for Langford who lashed the ball past Ben Price in the Quorn goal.

Heath almost increased the lead after a long with defenders trailing in his wake but his chip was not high enough and Price saved it easily.  The third goal came after 24 minutes, Paul Bateman pushed Xiourouppa in the penalty area and the referee had no hesitation in awarding a penalty.  Chris McHale came forward to take it and coolly slotted it into the bottom corner of the net.

Shortly afterwards Quorn had another good chance, James Perryer's close range header was well thwarted by an instinctive save by Steven Parker.  The visitors had a number of chances to get back into the game but wasted them, Dan Parkin twice shot over the bar and Robin Matthews and Liam Turner also failed to hit the target.

After the break Quorn tightened up their defence and restricted the number chances that Harriers had but continued to waste chances.  Eight minutes into the half substitute Jake Bryan hit the post when faced with an open goal.  Harriers' best chance of the half fell to Xiourouppa who headed over from Daniel Bulmer's cross.  Despite the lack action in front of the visitor's goal Harriers comfortably controlled the game ensuring that Quorn rarely threatened to get back into it and saw out time to deservedly take all three points.
