Match Reportby St@tto
Harriers still search for their first victory of the season after being held to their second draw in a row, this time by Bedworth United.

The game was a very scrappy affair and was not helped at all by the playing surface which was very bumpy and the grass was much too long, a fact that will have contributed to the number of players suffering from cramp in the latter stages of the game.

There was little action in the opening twenty minutes, Callum Dempsey almost opened the scoring in the first minutes when he broke free of the Harriers defence but Daniel O'Gorman stood up well and beat away his shot.  At the other end, Kevin Roeton saw a header saved at a corner and Glenville White had a long range shot turned away.

After 24 minutes Bedworth had a golden opportunity to take the lead when Michael McGrath handled the ball and the referee awarded a penalty.  Dempsey took the kick but O'Gorman dived away to his right to save the kick.

Bedworth took the lead when O'Gorman came out of his goal to attempt to break up an attack but was left stranded as the ball was played back across the face of goal, James Dyke turned it into his own net as he tried to clear.   Harriers drew level in stoppage time at the end of the half, Aaron Farrell and David Stanbra combined on the left with Stanbra switching play to the right passing into the path of Ben Rowland who charged into the penalty area and lifted his shot over the keeper and into the back of the net.

After the interval the game was not much better but Harriers started to get on top as they were playing down the slope, White in particular causing problems with his pace on the right wing.  One such run nearly gave Harriers the lead, his cross to the far post was knocked down by Stanbra for Dyke whose shot was deflected over the bar for a corner.  At the other end, Bedworth created a handful of chances once bouncing a shot on the top of the crossbar and twice O'Gorman saved to preserve a point for Harriers.
