Match Reportby St@tto
Harriers edged past Boldmere with the only goal of a close, competetive game at Aggborough to record their sixth consecutive home victory.

Harriers were the better team in the opening half and were quickly forcing their visitors onto the defensive.  David Stanbra almost opened the scoring after nine minutes when he used all of his strength to hold off his marker but hesitated too long before shooting and was tackled by Richard Cox.  They only had to wait for another five minutes before the goal arrived, Michael Xiourouppa broke into the penalty area on the right and passed to Stanbra, the ball wasn't the best but Stanbra was alert enough to pass it on to Ian Langstone rather than shooting himself and Langstone slotted the ball in off the post.

Xiourouppa was involved again soon afterwards with a similar break into the penalty area, this time he found Carl Dudley whose first time shot was spilled by Adam Fleming in the Boldmere goal but spun away safely for a corner.  From the corner, Duldey's header at the far post was cleared off the line by Matt Amos.

Desperate defending saved the visitors again early in the second half, this time it was Richard Cox who threw his body in the way of Xiourouppa's shot to head the ball away.  The second period was a closer affair, both teams were fully committed to searching for victory and there were several crunching tackles made by players on both sides.  Boldmere threw an extra man into the attack and this eventually paid off fifteen minutes from the end when their best chance of the game fell to Matt Handley but his shot went narrowly wide of Neil Thomas' left hand post.

Eight minutes from time Harriers almost doubled their advantage, Matt White's corner from the left curved dangerously towards the far post where Dudley climbed unmarked but headed just wide.  The second goal didn't come but Harriers saw out the remaining minutes easily to claim the points.
