Harriers' worst performance in a generation saw them embarrassed and humbled and dumped out of the FA Cup by Stourbridge.

Not since being knocked out at home by Shepshed Charterhouse in the 1st Qualifying Round of the 1981/82 season have Harriers given such an inept performance in the FA Cup and not even any of the lows of the 2004-05 relegation season came close to this as the team found new depths to plumb.

Stourbridge needed just five minutes to take the lead; Harriers failed to clear their lines and Matt Dodd pounced to stab the ball goalwards, recalled goalkeeper Alex Palmer not covering himself in any glory as he fumbled the ball over the line.

The game was effectively over on the quarter-hour mark as former Harrier Justin Richards was left unmarked to rise and meet Leon Broadhurst's lofted free-kick and plant a header past Palmer who was rooted to his goal line.

Harriers showed absolutely nothing and struggled to even get out of their own half.  Home goalkeeper Lewis Solly was never tested and only touched the ball to field passes from his own defenders.

Five minutes after the interval The Glassboys increased their lead further; Chris Lait won the ball in the inside left channel and cut inside before despatching a 20-yard effort beyond the reach of Palmer.

Substitute Callum Hassan should have done better for Harriers when clear on goal in the 60th minute but he lashed his effort over the bar and out of the ground, he had two other chances that failed to test the keeper also.

Karl Hawley shot wide for Stourbridge who eased up with the game won and the only shock was not that Stourbridge won but that they didn't win by a greater margin.
