Biography

Initially signed on non-contract terms to bolster a squad hit by the suspension of Steve Guinan, the veteran striker brought a wealth of experience to the side.

His ten-year career before reaching Aggborough saw him visit clubs the length and breadth of the country as well as featuring for England at Under-19 level.  He began as a trainee at his hometown club Leicester City.  Over a period of five years he made just 24 appearances for The Foxes, most as a substitute, and scored just two goals, but he also had loan spells at Brentford (twice) and Blackpool where he clocked up a total of 40 more appearances and nine goals.

Barnsley paid a transfer fee to take him to Oakwell in 2006 but again he was used largely as a substitute, making twice as many appearances from the bench as starts, before again being loaned out, this time to Walsall.

In 2007 he moved to Darlington on a free transfer and enjoyed the best spell of his career so far scoring 19 times in 58 appearances.  This provoked Aberdeen to splash out £100000 to take him north of the border; yet again he was used mostly as a substitute and scored just twice in 22 games before heading back down to south to join Grimsby in January 2010.

He spent the rest of the season at Blundell Park before rejoining Darlington in time for the start of last season.  His second spell with The Quakers wasn't so prolific, scoring four goals in 24 games, but he was part of the side that won the FA Trophy in May 2011.

He only managed two substitute appearances at Aggborough, though, as he had to be released in order to free some money in the wage budget to allow the signing of a back-up goalkeeper after 1st choice keeper Danny Lewis suffered a cruciate ligament injury.

He was only without a club for a short while on his departure from Kidderminster, being snapped up on a short-term contract by Conference rivals Luton Town.
