Match Report |
The young Kidderminster side strolled to victory over Dr Martens Western
Division side Solihull. Kidderminster gave debuts to five players,
four of whom are regulars in the youth team.
The gulf in class between the two sides was considerable despite the makeshift look of the home team and it was no surprise when Ian Foster opened the scoring. Solihull had had a couple of early chances, Dutton delivering wicked crosses from the right which were not taken, and once behind they were never in the game. Kidderminster's second was a classic counter-attack, stemming from a Solihull corner. After the break it was all Kidderminster, and they should have increased the lead further but wasted their chances, Andy Corbett they chief culprit. Tony Bird notched is fifth of the season to complete the scoring from an excellent cross by young debutant Matt Reeves. Bird then made a point of running forty yards to thank the youngster. Kidderminster now entertain Moor Green in the semi final. |
