Match Report
Bury progress to the Area Quarter Finals with this convincing victory in an open encounter at Gigg Lane. Kidderminster arrived late and were unable to have their normal pre-match prepartion but still opened quite brightly. The early stages of the game ebbed and flowed on the worst surface Kidderminster have played on this season.

Gradually Bury began to assert themselves, being quicker and stronger than their visitors, and deservedly took the lead. With Bhutia pulling the strings in the middle of the park and James lively up front, it was no surprise when they increased their advantage. Tony Bird had had a good chance to get Kidderminster into the game but headed wide.

After the break Kidderminster were unable to impose themselves on the game and had Tim Clarke to thank for a string of saves to keep them in the game. Paul Webb had a great opportunity late on but headed over the bar. In the end, Kidderminster can have no complaints as they were beaten fair and square.
