Match Report by St@tto
Harriers gained their first ever goals and point at Brunton Park, twice coming from behind to grab a share of the points against lowly Carlisle.

The visitors started brightly and in the opening moments had two opportunities to open the scoring.  Sean Flynn set Dean Bennett free on the right but he shot just wide in the fifth minute and seconds later Bo Henriksen had the ball in the net but the linesman's flag had been up for ages and the strike didn't count.  The Cumbrians then took the lead in the seventh minute, Richie Foran received the ball on the left and hit a powerful shot under Fraser Digby at the near post, the keeper will feel that he should ahve done better with it.

It now appeared that it was going to be the usual Harriers-at-Carlisle performance, Carlisle almost doubled their advantage after 22 minutes, a deep free kick from the right was flicked on to Craig Farrell who was unmarked but steered his effort just wide.

Harriers drew level after half an hour, Dean Bennett's long ball forward set Henriksen clear of the home defence and he calmly lobbed it over the onrushing Matt Glennon from 25 yards.  Parity did not last long, however, as another long ball out of the Carlisle defence five minutes before the break deceived Adie Smith when it bounced awkwardly on the poor surface and left Adam Rundle one-on-one with Digby and he lifted his shot just over him and into the net.

After the break Harriers went in search of the equaliser and after 64 minutes were denied by the reflexes of Glennon.  Sam Shilton's right wing corner found the head of Smith who directed a good header goalwards only for Glennon to push it away for another corner.  Six minutes later substitute JJ Melligan pounced on a poor clearance only to head over the bar.

The visitors were getting on top of the game and with ten minutes left Henriksen got his head to Digby's long kick but headed it just wide with Glennon beaten.  Eventually the equaliser came, Melligan took a corner on the right which was met powerfully at the near post by the head of Dion Scott who gave Glennon no chance.  Carlisle did have one more chance to win the game shortly afterwards but Brendan McGill headed over and Harriers held out for a deserved draw.
