Harriers slumped to their second defeat in three days as Zamaretto League Leamington recorded a comfortable 3-0 win at The New Windmill.

After the team of trialists that were sent out in the previous game at Stratford, Harriers fielded a stronger side with all but two of the first team squad involved; only Tom Sharpe and Tom Marshall were left out to protect slight injuries, although some of the players who had been involved at Stratford were left unused on the bench.

The game was not helped by the stiff breeze blowing across the ground but even so Harriers played some decent football at times with some good crisp passing but they clearly need to work on the understandings between players in the final third of the field. They fell behind after 22 minutes; Jacob Blyth scoring from the penalty spot after he had been bundled over in the area by Mike Williams.

Harriers had a good chance on 37 minutes; Lee Vaughan made a strong run through the middle of the park but his shot was well saved by Tony Breedon in the home goal.  Leamington doubled the advantage five minutes before the break; Blyth adding his second with a well-taken shot from the edge of the penalty area curled around Danny Lewis.

Ten minutes after the break Tom Berwick added the third scoring from a narrow angle. Kyle Storer was introduced for the second half for his first appearance in a Harriers shirt since his move from Nuneaton but was unable to influence the outcome of the game.  Harriers' best chance of the half fell to trialist Greg Mills whose close-range shot after being set up by Luke Medley was clawed away by Breedon.
