Match Report by St@tto

Harriers racked up their fourth win in a row thanks to a goal in each half at Conference North Hinckley.

Lee Vaughan need just two minutes to give Harriers the lead, firing in from close range after good work by Marc Williams who got to the byline on the right before pulling the ball back to the full-back at the near post; Harriers then dominated the game against a Hinckley side that included former Harriers Lloyd Kerry and Tom Byrne and one-time Harriers trialist Ben Richards-Everton, with loads of possession and good passing and movement but couldn't increase their advantage before the interval.

There was a good opportunity for them midway through the half when Vaughan and Dave Hankin combined on the right with the latter making a good run into the penalty area before setting up Luke Medley who shot tamely wide of the far post.

After the break the game followed a similar pattern with Harriers enjoying the bulk of possession without doing much with it.  On the hour mark Callum Gittings made a good run into the penalty area on the left but his low cross towards the far post was just ahead of the oncoming attackers and went out safely.

United had their best spell late in the game, forcing a series of corners without making them tell.  Harriers soaked up the pressure and eight minutes from time should have been further ahead when James Vincent and Nick Wright combined to send Jack Byrne clear on the right, his chipped cross to the far post found Robert Thompson-Brown who scored but had his goal ruled out for offside.  Harriers made the game safe moments later with a counter-attacking move that ended with Gittings setting up Nick Wright whose 20-yard shot took a nasty deflection to give Dan Haystead no chance to save with seven minutes left.
