Match Report
Kidderminster again brushed aside their lower league opponents, ending the contest within the first half-hour. Trialist Darren Middleton created two and scored the third before Redditch had got themselves into the game, their first of the summer.

Danny Williams and Mark Blake took control of the midfield straight away in a fashion which bodes well for the season ahead. It was Williams who started the move for the opening goal, threadin a pass through to Middleton whose low cross from the right was turned in at the near post by Stewart Hadley for his third goal of the summer.

Middleton crossed from the opposite side for the second goal and Craig Hinton, playing wide on the right-hand side of midfield, forced the ball in at the far post under pressure from two defenders. Middleton scored the third himself with a deft near post header from Daire Doyle's left wing cross. Also in the first half, Middleton forced a good save from Harvey Willets and Ian Joy hit a blistering drive against the post.

Harriers lined-up at the start of the second period with the same eleven that began the game, the first time Jan Molby didn't change his whole team at the break. With the game apparently won, Harriers eased off, but were still in complete control and it was not until the seventieth minute that Redditch managed their first shot at goal. Better finishing could have seen Harriers with a bigger victory, Middleton hit the woodwork and young Matt Lewis twice forced saves out of Willetts.
