Match Report
Kidderminster deservedly swept aside their illustrious neighbours to record their fifth win from six games. Harriers left out all of their trialists and started with a line-up which could be looked upon as the team that will be first choice when the action begins in earnest.

The home team had the bulk of possession in the opening period and it was no surprise when Andy Ducros lobbed Russell Hoult from over 20 yards out. Sloppy defending allowed The Baggies their equaliser, Seck threaded the ball through to an unmarked Appleton who planted his shot into the bottom corner of the net.

After the break Albion threatened often, but Stuart Brock pulled off a string of saves to deny Lee Hughes, Bob Taylor (twice), Balis and Clemment. Meanwhile, at the other end Man-of-the-Match Tony Bird was a constant thorn in the visitors' side, and deservedly scored Harriers' second goal. Stamps' cross from the left cleared the crowded penalty area and found Bird beyond the far post, he cut inside and struck a left foot shot back across goal into the bottom corner.

Hoult pulled off a great save to deny Bird a further strike which would have put the result beyond doubt. Harriers dealt with the late pressure from West Brom comfortably, shackling Lee Hughes and making him look ordinary, and fully deserving their victory.
