| Match Report |
|
A thoroughly professional performance by Harriers leaves them with
one hand on the Championship. The home team put up a spirited defence
in the first half but were lucky to reach the break on level terms.
Ian Clarkson crossed from the right and Stewart Hadley headed past
Ryan Price but the goal was disallowed as Hadley was offside.
After the break Harriers dominated completely and took the lead after 56 minutes when Hadley headed in Ayres' cross. Shortly afterwards Hadley had another goal disallowed for offside as Harriers continued to press forwards and Thomas Poston had two good efforts saved before the second goal arrived. Substitute Peter Faulds crossed from the right and Julian Williams headed in at the far post. Telford struggled to get the ball off Harriers, the visitors rained shots on Ryan Price who saved most of them to keep the score down. The third goal eventually arrived, Poston madea great run into the box and crossed low to the far post where the ball was turned in by Hadley for his fifth goal of the season. |
