Match Report
Harriers imposed themselves upon a spirited Bedworth and eventually recorded a comfortable win to keep their Championship defence on track.

The visitors surprised Harriers with an early goal, Phil Garner miscued his clearance back into the goalmouth, and Andrew Carty headed in from close range. Dale James brought Harriers level with a neat turn and shot from the edge of the penalty area. Within a minute James had put Harriers ahead scoring from close range.

Harriers created a hatful of chances throughout the remainder of the half, but Danny Smith in the Bedworth goal pulled off a series of good saves. Bedworth then equalised nine minutes from the break, the ball was played in from the left and Batchelor headed it on for O'Shea to head in. The third Harriers goal came in injury time, a quickly taken free-kick led to Smith saving two shots before Nick Heath fired in the loose ball.

The best move of the game led to Harriers fourth goal early in the second period. Matt Reeves set Tim Jackson free on the left and his deep cross to the far post was headed back across goal by Heath for McHale to fire in from the edge of the penalty area.

Substitute Lee Yates completed the scoring eight minutes from time, Heath and Reeves combined on the right to create the chance for Yates to fire into the roof of the net from close range.
