Harriers maintained their position at the the top of the legue by recording their eleventh win from thirteen games.

The game did not go all Harriers' way, however, as Hinckley took the lead after just forty seconds.  Curtis McCabe showed a great turn of speed to get away from Scott Lower and his cross-shot to the far post was turned in at the far post by Ashley Hamilton.

Harriers had most of the possession and the best of the chances throughout the rest of the half, Richard Langford went close with an overhead shot before equalising midway through the half.  Nick Heath rounded off a good passing move with a cross from the left which Langford headed in powerfully.

Shortly after the break Harriers took the lead, the Hinckley defence failed to clear a corner properly and when the ball was crossed back in again it was only half cleared again as far as Matt Lewis who rifled an overhead shot past Andy Nielson in the visitors' goal.

Hinckley were dealt a blow on the hour when a strong challenge between Phil Garner and Joe Manning resulted in the Hinckley player being stretchered off with a broken leg.  The loss of their strongest midfield player seemed to affect Hinckley and Harriers began to exert themselves.  The third goal came with eighteen minutes remaining, Heath's left wing corner was headed in from close range by Inderpaul Khela.

Three minutes later Harriers were even further ahead when substitute Michael Xiourouppa headed in from close range after Matt Lewis had somehow managed to hit the crossbar from about two yards out.  Xiourouppa then completed the scoring when he hooked the ball in from close range from another Heath corner for his fifth goal in as many games.
