Match Report by St@tto
Depleted Harriers recorded their second cup victory in the space of three days, progressing to the quarter final of the Herefordshire Youth Cup where they will face either Bromyard Town or Gloucester City at Aggborough.

Due to injuries John Deakin had only eleven players available to choose from but was forced to use just one out of position, forward Luke Marcus lining up on the left hand side of the midfield.  The opening period was even but Malvern created the better of the early chances, Will Murtagh twice was thwarted by Daniel O'Gorman in the Harriers goal before scoring the opening goal.  Alec Smith curled a low right wing corner in to the near post for Murtagh to volley in although O'Gorman almost kept that effort out as well.

The lead only lasted for five minutes before Michael Xiourouppa fed the ball through into the path of Marcus who had plenty of time to pick his spot before stroking the ball past Steve Thomas in the home goal.  Malvern had a great chance to regain the lead later in the half, Simon Baker set up a chance for Oliver Endacott but he blasted well over the bar from 20 yards out.

Harriers went ahead for the first time shortly after the interval, Xiourouppa's shot hit the post but, having taken a deflection somewhere along it's path, a corner was awarded.  Nick Heath's flag kick found Chris McHale at the far post who rose highest to head powerfully in from close range.  The visitors immediately began playing with more confidence and started to dominate the game, Xiourouppa did well to get to the byline on the right and his pull back found Richard Langford who fired over from close range.

With twenty minutes to go McHale should have increased the advantage with another header similar to the one he scored with but this time he directed it over the bar.  At the other end Dean Matthews hit the bar inside the last ten minutes to give Harriers a scare but within seconds the game was wrapped up by Xiourouppa who completed the scoring with a well judged chip from the edge of the penalty area.
