** LATEST NEWS **

  • 30 January - One of the worst performances of the season by Harriers saw them crash to a comprehensive 4-0 defeat at Plymouth.
  • 30 January - Tonight Harriers travel to Plymouth for a third attempt at playing at Home Park. Mark Shail is welcomed bak to the squad following his one match suspension, Stewart Hadley may also be available after injury. Expect Harriers to line-up as follows: Brock, Clarkson, Stamps, Doyle, Hinton, Shail, Smith, MacKenzie, Broughton, Ducros, Durnin.
  • 27 January - Harriers end a run of four straight defeats with a draw against Hull at Aggborough. The Tigers were two up inside fourteen minutes but Harriers stormed back with goals from Drewe Broughton and John Durnin before the break. Harriers welcomed back Scott Stamps from injury but he didn't last the whole match, while Parfait Medou-Otye didn't make it.
  • 25 January - Steve Pope has joined League of Wales side Aberystwyth Town on loan with a view to the move becoming permanent.
  • 22 January - Harriers today completed the signing of Drewe Broughton from Peterborough. The deal, which a week ago looked buried, is initially for a month with the view to completing a permanent arrangement which would cost the Harriers £50000. The striker goes straight into the squad for tomorrow's trip to Mansfield and should make his debut alongside John Durnin.
  • 17 January - Jan Molby continues to look to strengthen his squad, another Frenchman Frederic Bonniface has been training with the club. The compatriot of Parfait Medou-Otye has been with Scottish Division 1 side Clyde since October for whom he has played 8 games and scored 1 goal. Also, an un-named player with a Premiership club is in Jan's sights with a view to a loan move, but that is on hold at the moment as his team have an injury crisis.
The Harriers game at Exeter on March 24 has been moved to a midday kick off to avoid clashing with England's World Cup clash against Finland. That will mean an extra early start for those intending to travel to the game.
  • 16 January - Harriers today missed out on the signature of Drewe Broughton, a striker with Second Division Peterborough. A loan deal had been agreed between the clubs, with a £50000 transfer fee if the move became permanent. However, Reading have also shown an interest in the former Brentford and Norwich player, so he hs chosen to spend the rest of the week on trial with them instead.
  • 13 January - Brighton gained revenge for the 2-0 defeat they suffered at the hands of the Harriers at Withdean in August with a matching scoreline. Of the seven players placed on the transfer list eearlier in the week, only Barry Horne figured in the starting line-up while Daire Doyle had to be content with a place on the bench and didn't get seet on.
  • 12 January - Harriers sign Irishman Daire Doyle on a free transfer from Coventry. The 20 year old featured in the Harriers reserve side earlier in the season, playing twice and scoring three times.
Brighton are the visitors to Aggborough tomorrow, and the promotion chasing Seagulls will be looking to avenge Harriers' 2-0 win at Withdean in August. Harriers will probably be without stikers Ian Foster and Stewart Hadley as well as Scott Stamps and Adie Smith who are all still carrying injuries. New signing Daire Doyle is added to the squad that lost at Bury on Wednesday. Harriers probable line-up: Brock, Clarkson, Medou-Otye, Bogie, Hinton, Shail, Davies, Horne, Durnin, Ducros, MacKenzie.
  • 11 January - Jan Molby has placed seven players on the transfer list, six of them on free transfers. Tim Clarke, Paul Webb, Steve Pope, Tony Bird, Barry Horne, and Ian Bogie are available for free while Dean Bennett is available for a fee. Meanwhile, Craig Hinton has signed a new three-and-a-half year contract in recognition of his performances so far this season.
  • 10 January - Harriers travel to Second Division Bury in the LDV Vans Trophy this evening with a number of injury worries. Scott Stamps will be missing having picked up an injury at Halifax on Saturday, Ian Clarkson should fill in. Ian Bogie may come in for Adie Smith who picked up his injury in training yesterday. I predict Harriers will line up as follows: Brock, Clarkson, Medou-Otye, Bogie, Hinton, Shail, MacKenzie, Horne, Bird, Ducros, Durnin.
  • 5 January - Harriers face former Conference rivals Halifax at The Shay tomorrow, and will again look to complete their first double of the season after Torquay's late equaliser denied them on Monday. Stewart Hadley and Ian Foster are likely to be missing tomorrow with hamstring injuries, but the rest of the squad is available. Expect Harriers to line-up as follows: Brock, Medou-Otye, Stamps, Bogie, Hinton, Shail, Bennett, Horne, Bird, Ducros, Durnin.
  • 3 January - Harriers' trip to Shrewsbury, which was postponed last month due to the Gay Meadow pitch being under several feet of water, has been rearranged for February 6. Harriers supporters who bought tickets for the original date are advised that these are still valid. The home game with Scunthorpe, postponed from last Saturday, has been rearranged for March 13.
  • 1 January - A last gasp equaliser denies Harriers victory in a scrappy New Years Day fixture at windswept Plainmoor against Torquay. John Durnin's sixth goal in twelve matches had put Harriers ahead but substitute Simon Lyons scored his first League goal to earn The Gulls a point.
