Match Report by St@tto

For the second game in-a-row Harriers were held to a goalless draw by a team in the relegation zone.

In contrast to the absorbing game played against Aldershot last time out this was a poor game all round.  Despite being forced into making changes to the team - Danny Jackman came in at left back and Amari Morgan-Smith in attack for his first start of the season in place of the injured Mickey Demetriou and Michael Gash respectively while Marvin Johnson also returned to the side - Harriers should have been able to see off their hosts.

The visitors enjoyed the lion's share of possession in the opening half but couldn't break down the home defence; the closest they came to breaking the deadlock was Kyle Storer's header over the bar from Johnson's corner.

Alex Titchiner was the best hope for a goal from the home team and he almost managed it just before the hour mark, working his way into the penalty area before smacking his shot against the bar.

Joe Lolley was introduced from the bench for the last half-hour and was the brightest spark in the game and most likely to change the outcome.  He quickly forced a save from former Harrier John Danby and saw another cleared off the line by Michael Kay.

Harriers did manage to get the ball in the net with four minutes to go but Storer's effort was ruled out for offside.

Harriers have to go back to the opening two games of the 2004-05 season to find the last time that they recorded back-to-back goalless draws.  On the plus side, though, they have now gone three games without conceding and have kept four clean sheets in the last five games.
