Match Report by St@tto

A lacklustre performance from Harriers saw them slump to defeat at Kingfield.

At a misty Woking the hosts needed just one goal to take all the points, recording their fourth win in five games and ensuring that the euphoria of Harriers' FA Cup win at the weekend was soon washed away.

With Kyle Storer and Lee Fowler both suspended Mickey Demetriou and Anthony Malbon came back into the side with Callum Gittings and Danny Jackman taking over in midfield.  The home side were the livelier in the opening stages with Charles Banya and Josh Payne both looking dangerous and had they been able to shoot straight would probably given The Cards the lead.

After a goalless first half fog began to roll across Kingfield, and it was out of the gloom that Woking took the lead on 64 minutes; Kieran Murtagh's pass sent Kevin Betsy away on the right and his low cross was turned in from close range by Scott Rendell.

Harriers' best chance of the game came on 73 minutes; Gittings' corner from the left was knocked down to the feet of Josh Gowling whose shot was weak and straight at keeper Sam Beasant.

Victory would have lifted Harriers to within a victory of second-placed Luton with a game still in hand but instead they are now five points behind The Hatters and nine behind leaders Cambridge.
