Match Report by St@tto

Harriers dominated the game at York Street but were made to pay for a number of wasted chances.

Torrential rain, thunder and lightning raged throughout the game making conditions difficult but Harriers were on top throughout and should have had the game wrapped up long before United's late equaliser.

Showing just one change from the side that beat Stalybridge last time out, Ryan Croasdale coming in for his first start in place of the suspended Ashley Carter, Harriers were quick out of the blocks and should have been in front in the second minute when Mani Dieseruvwe's shot was cleared off the line.

The reprieve was brief for the home side, though, as moments later Zaine Francis-Angol attacked on the left and his low cross was turned into his own net by Boston defender Joe Robinson.  A swift Harriers counter-attack on the quarter hour could have doubled the advantage, Elton Ngwatala's pass sent Tyrell Waite away on the right, his cross towards Dieseruvwe and James McQuilkin, though, was cut out by Christian Dibble in the home goal.

United ventured forwards occasionally and shortly afterwards Sam Hornby was called into action to save a 20-yard free-kick from Jason St Juste.  Before the break it was home keeper Dibble who was called into action as he saved from Arthur Gnahoua at the expense of a corner.

After the break Harriers continued to dominate the game; Dieseruvwe made strong run through the middle before finding McQuilkin on the left and then continuing his run to take the return ball but he fired over the bar from just outside the penalty area.

On the hour Waite's excellent cross from the right found Ngwatala at the far post but he headed against the upright; the ball rebounded to McQuilkin who saw his shot saved by Dibble and his follow-up shot blocked.

Shortly afterwards Keith Lowe got forwards to meet a cross from the left but his shot was cleared by Gregg Smith.  As United continued to put their bodies on the line to keep Harriers at bay Robinson got in the way of a McQuilkin shot after Ngwatala and Francis-Angol had combined on the left to create the opening.

Harriers looked set to maintain their 100% away record but were made to pay for their wasted opportunities with five minutes remaining when they conceded a needless free-kick wide on the United right that was lofted forward by substitute Lewis Hilliard and met by the head of Joe Maguire sending it beyond the reach of Hornby to earn The Pilgrims a point.
