Harriers Chop Down Forest Youngsters: Harriers 3-0 Nottingham Forest
Harriers gave their best performance of the summer so far to comfortably despatch a disappointingly weak Forest side.
Rather than the expected mix of first- and reserve-team players the bulk of the Forest line-up was youngsters who didn't provide much of a test.
The Harriers line-up continued to take shape with just two trialists in the starting side alongside nine contracted players. The home team were quickly in control of the game, playing some attractive football, and took the lead on the half hour mark; Lee Morris heading in his first goal in a Harriers shirt.
Four minutes later Chris McPhee doubled the advantage and on the stroke of half-time with the help of a massively deflected shot. After the break Harriers continued to dominate and could, and should, have increased their lead further but were kept at bay by Forest keeper Karl Darlow.
