Harriers Continue To Improve: Harriers 1-0 Burton Albion

Harriers recorded their fourth successive victory as their pre-season continued to improve, beating a strong Burton Albion side.

The League Two side, who will begin their league season next weekend, sent a strong side that included three former Harriers in Andy Corbett, Russ Penn and John McGrath.  Harriers put out a strong side themselves with just one trialist - Callum Gittings - in the starting line-up; new signing Nick Wright had to wait on the bench for his chance to shine.

Harriers scored the only goal of the game in the 13th minute, Tom Shaw sending Adam Legzdins the wrong way from the penalty spot after Paul Boertien had handled Dave Hankin's cross.  Burton had the best of the first half, the goal apart, and should have got the to break on at least level terms after twice hitting the frame of the goal.  After the break Harriers got on top and kept the visitors at bay quite comfortably and created some good opportunities to increase their lead.
