Harriers Take Foxes Youngster On Loan
Steve Burr has bolstered the Harriers squad by taking Leicester City midfielder Aman Verma on loan for a month.
With both John Finnigan and Callum Gittings carrying injuries the arrival of the 22-year-old gives Burr some extra options in midfield.
As a youngster Verma was in the academy at Leicester but left long before he was even old enough for the youth team, spending several years in the Leicestershire Senior League with FC Khalsa and Ellistown. Eventually he moved into the Southern League with Bedworth United and then in 2008 he joined Redditch United. By December of that year he had earned himself a trial back at Leicester which was successful and he was given a pro contract. Last season he had spells out on loan at both Crewe alexandra and in the conference with Histon. Earlier this month he finally made his Foxes debut, coming off the bench in the 4-3 win over Macclesfield Town in the League Cup.
