Harriers Stand Firm For First Clean Sheet: Harriers 0-0 Cambridge United
Harriers had to share the spoils at Aggborough this afternoon after failing to break down Cambridge United.
A first clean sheet of the season was reward for resolute defending against a poor Cambridge side who threw everything at them in the closing minutes.
The game was fairly even but Harriers probably edged proceedings, playing some nice football at times in midfield but being let down when they got to the final third of the pitch. There were good chances for Harriers to have taken all three points; Nick Wright fired tamely at the keeper when clear through on goal, Michael Briscoe headed against the crossbar and in the last minute Matt Blair saw his shot cleared off the line.
Sadly for Harriers, however, despite stretching their unbeaten run to four games results elsewhere mean that they slip two places down the league table to 13th.
