Slick Harriers Topple Leaders: Harriers 2-0 AFC Wimbledon
A goal in each half enabled Harriers to see of the challenge of league leaders Wimbledon and lift them six places up the league to 11th.
Unchanged for the team that drew at Fleetwood in midweek Harriers gave their best performance of the season so far. The visitors probably enjoyed the greater share of possession in the first half but did little with it and the best chances fell to Harriers who made their visitors look very ordinary.
The opening goal cme on the stroke of half-time, the impressive Lee Morris setting up Chris McPhee for his third goal of the season. After the break Harriers took control of the game and created enough chances to put the game safe; the second goal arrived seven minutes from time when good work from Marc Williams enabled to him to force the ball home with the help of defender Fraser Franks' attempted clearance.
Harriers now need to carry this form into Tuesday's game at lowly Bath before facing another stiff test next weekend when they visit new league leaders Crawley Town.
