Harriers Take Diamonds Sparkle: Harriers 1-0 Rushden & Diamonds
Harriers recorded their fourth home win in a row thanks to Chris Mchee's seventh goal of the season and ended Rushden's run of good form.
With barely enough players available to field a full squad Harriers gave a solid performance against the in-form Diamonds who looked quite lively in the early stages.
McPhee's goal came on 16 minutes, scoring from the penalty spot after Dave Hankin had been brought down. The visitors should have got back on terms before the interval but were denied by poor finishing, the woodwork, and good saves from Danny Lewis.
Harriers held firm and after the break got stronger but were unable to add to their lead. Rushden didn't look like getting back into the game, however, until a frantic finale when they threw everything forward in the last few minutes.
