McPhee Strikes Again As Harriers Roll On: Histon 0-1 Harriers
Chris McPhee's eighth goal of the season was enough to see Harriers to their second win in a week and move them to within a point of the play-off places.
Steve Burr fielded an unchanged starting line-up from the team that had beaten Rushden in midweek with new signing Jamille Matt on the bench.
As expected when visiting Histon Harriers had to face an aerial barrage and the defence stood up to it well with the home team limited to just two shots on target. Harriers took the lead just past the half-hour mark when McPhee hooked in a shot off the far post from a short corner.
After the break Harriers began to dominate the game and should have won it more comfortably but wasted a number of clear-cut chances. With the defence standing firm, though, the wasted chances were not regretted and Harriers recorded their first-ever win at Bridge Road. Harriers moved up to seventh in the league and are now top of the form table, the only team in the league unbeaten in the last six.
