Reserves Dumped Out Of County Cup: Harriers Reserves 1-3 Worcester City
Holders Harriers were dumped out of the Worcestershire Senior Cup in a local derby at Aggborough.
Giving chances to fringe players to stake a claim for a place in the first team Harriers fielded a strong sie with only one youth team player - right back Nathan Demonte - in the sixteen.
Despite the strong team Harriers fell behind after just one minute; Matt Birley firing the visitors ahead with 67 seconds on the clock. Harriers levelled the scores after eight minutes, though, Tom Shaw saw his penalty saved by visiting keeper Tim Sandercombe but Dave Hankin was on hand to fire in the loose ball.
Harriers were slow out of the blocks in the second half also, and fell behind just two minutes after the restart, Danny Glover the scorer. Glover then completed the scoring after 72 minutes while Harriers squandered a string of chances that should have seen them take the game comfortably.
Few players came out of the game with any credit, though, only Aaron Griffiths playing his first game after suspension did enough to even slightly encroach on Steve Burr's thoughts for the upcoming first team matches.
