Mark Serrell Appointed Chairman
Mark Serrell has been appointed as Harriers' new Chairman, taking over the position from Dave Reynolds.
Serrell came to the club in October with Reynolds when they took over from the previous Chairman and Vice-Chairman Barry Norgrove and Neil Savery. At the time Reynolds stated that his intention was to only be in the role for a short time, and he has now stepped down although remains a part of Aggborough Holdings which is the major shareholder in the football club.
Serrell will have Wayne Allen as his Vice-Chairman with Keith Chandler completing the board. Speaking to the Official Website Serrell said, "I am a local guy and I have the time and the energy to devote to the job in hand and it was felt I would best serve the club in that role.
"The Club still has large debts - creditors that it needs to pay, that we just aren't in a position to pay at this present moment in time. The club will not start the New Year in a CVA or an Insolvency Procedure.
"I am more optimistic going into the 1st January than I was the 1st December [about incoming investment], definitely. The club is currently talking to a group of investors who are very keen on getting involved with the football club.
"There isn't any immediate pressure on Steve to move anybody on - we have not gone to him and said 'your whole squad is up for sale'".
