McPhee Nets Last-Gasp Winner: Harriers 1-0 Forest Green Rovers

A goal two minutes into stoppage time from leading scorer Chris McPhee gave Harriers victory in a scrappy match at Aggborough.

Thanks to the weather reducing their opportunities it was Harriers' first win since November, allowing them to bounce back from the midweek defeat against Newport.  The win was enough to keep them in touch with the play-off places, moving them back up to sixth place.

Steve Burr made a number of changes to the side again, making full use of the squad with three games to be played in less than a week; Mark Albrighton, Lee Vaughan, Dave Hankin and McPhee all returned to the starting line up.

The game was very poor with neither side looking too good.  There was very little in the way of goalmouth action in the first half with the visitors managing the only on-target shot of the period.  After the break Harriers were the better team but were unable to break down the visitors' massed defence.

The only goal came two minutes into stoppage time; McPhee saw his penalty, that he himself had won, saved but he was quickest to react and fired in the loose ball.
