Harriers' Barrow Bogey Strikes Again: Barrow 2-1 Harriers
Harriers slipped to their sixth consecutive defeat against Barrow, poor defending and poor weather conditions contributing to the loss.
Strong winds spoiled the game as spectacle, making it difficult for either side to play good football. Things may have turned out better for Harriers, who showed just one change - Mark Albrighton coming in for Nick Wright - from the team that had beaten Kettering in midweek, had Keith Briggs' early shot gone in instead of cannoning back off the post.
Barrow took the lead on 16 minutes, on loan striker Louis Almond being allowed to run at the Harriers defence before curling a fine shot around Danny Lewis and inside the far post. Early in the second half the same player doubled the advantage, running from inside his own half before firing a 25-yard shot past Lewis.
Harriers pressed late on in an attempt to get back into the game and pulled a goal back with 11 minutes remaining when Wright grabbed his third goal in four games.
