Harriers Bounce Back: Harriers 2-0 Barrow
A goal in each half allowed Harriers to gain quick revenge for last weekend's defeat at Barrow
In an at-times scrappy game Harriers had to survive early scares, notably with Lee Vaughan having to head off the line, before taking the lead late in the first half when Lee Morris curled an excellent strike beyond the reach of Barrow keeper Clark Masters.
Harriers controlled the second half but had to resort to last ditch defending again on more than one occasion. The game was won in the final ten minutes, though, when Masters brought down transfer-listed Chris McPhee and was sent off. Leading scorer McPhee took the penalty and despatched his tenth goal of the season.
Harriers' victory was their first against Barrow since 1999, ending a run of six straight defeats against The Bluebirds, and keeps them in touch with the play-off chasing teams despite having had their five-point deduction confirmed.
