Grimsby's Burr Approach Rejected
Harriers have this afternoon rejected an approach from Conference rivals Grimsby Town for permission to talk to Steve Burr.
The managerless Mariners have not, so far, had the season that they would have hoped for since dropping down from League Two at the end of last season. Currently they are eleventh, and it was this relatively poor position that cost Neil Woods his job last week.
The statement on the Official Harriers website reads, "Yesterday, (Thursday, March 03 2011), the Football Club received an official approach through correct channels from Grimsby Town Football Club, requesting permission to speak to Burr about their current managerial vacancy. After careful consideration and consultation with Steve himself, the Football Club has decided to deny Grimsby Town this permission with respect. The Club is currently in discussions with Steve about his own future here at Kidderminster Harriers."
