Harriers Still On Course For Play-Offs: Mansfield Town 1-2 Harriers
A goal in each half gave Harriers their first-ever victory at Field Mill, stretching their unbeaten run to 12 games and keeping them firmly in the play-off places.
The outcome was far more comfortable than the scoreline suggests, Harriers had a string of chances in the first 20 minutes that should have seen them out of sight but only had Chris McPhee's 15th minute strike, his 16th goal of the season, to show for their efforts at the break.
Backed by 350 travelling supporters Harriers doubled their advantage just ahead of the hour mark through skipper Keith Briggs, scoring against one of his former clubs. After their poor showing in the first half the home team looked better after the break but took until the 79th minute to pull a goal back, former Harrier Adam Murray lashing the ball past Danny Lewis.
The remainder of the game was comfortable for Harriers, though, and they were able to see out time to take the points. The only downside was the loss of Tom Shaw through injury shortly before half-time.
