Quakers End Harriers' Run: Harriers 1-2 Darlington
Harriers' long unbeaten run was finally brought to an end by Darlington, leaving The Reds with a mountain to climb to get into the play-offs.
Harriers face Fleetwood at Aggborough on Friday evening knowing that defeat will end their hopes of making the play-offs, even a draw will leave them waiting on a minor miracle.
After a scrappy opening period Harriers got on top of the game and took the lead when skipper Keith Briggs fired in on the half hour, his fifth goal of the season.
The visitors came back stronger after the break and levelled the scores after 65 minutes; Jamie Chandler winning the ball deep in his own half before eventually firing past Danny Lewis. Ten minutes later more sloppy defending from Harriers left Chris Moore in place to put Darlington in front.
Harriers huffed and puffed but never looked like getting back into the game, the players looking jaded after a season that has exceeded all expectations.
