More Transfer Activity Ahead Of Season Start

Gary Whild continues to shape his squad ahead of tomorrow's opening day of the season.

Two players come in and one goes out: youngster Kennedy Digie has joined Hednesford Town on loan where he links up with team-mate Tyrone Williams; coming in are experienced defender/middfielder Rob Taylor and young striker Tahvon Campbell.

Taylor has joined on non-contract terms, in a similar fashion to Kevin Nicholson last season, following on from a number of impressive displays as a trialist in pre-season.  He has seen service with a number of local non-league sides over the course of his career, beginning with a spell in Harriers' youth team in the 2002-03 season and then playing for Stourport, Redditch and Solihull.

He is best known for his time at Port Vale who he joined in 2008 and went on to play 181 times for, scoring 21 goals.  Last summer he moved on to Mansfield Town, making 21 appearances, before moving on to Tranmere in January; he played 15 times for Tranmere but was unable to help them avoid relegation.

Campbell, 18, is another highly-rated striker from West Brom's academy where he has been a prolific scorer as he has progressed through the ranks.  He has yet to feature in the first team, though.  His loan sees him join up with his Albion team-mates Alex Palmer and Andre Wright and will keep him at Aggborough until the start of January.
