Preview: Boreham Wood v Harriers

Harriers make their first-ever visit to Boreham Wood today looking to record their first goal since Boxing Day.

It's now 331 minutes since Kyle Howkins netted against Cheltenham, Harriers drawing blanks against Forest Green, Guiseley and Aldershot, their worst run of the season in front of goal.

New loan signing Harry White could go straight into the side in the hope of remedying that statistic and should lead the line in place of Omari Patrick.  Skipper Jared Hodgkiss picked up a knock in the loss at Aldershot but should be OK to take part; if he doesn't make it, though, Tyrone Williams will likely take his place, making his first start alongside Kelvin Langmead while Keith Lowe moves across to ful back.  Jordan Tunnicliffe could come into the side, also, as he is back to full fitness after injury.  Adam Dawson is also available and could come in to the side.

Boreham Wood, like Harriers, have struggled in front of goal with just three goals scored in the last nine games.  Their recent form has seen them win just once in those last nine matches which sees them in 20th place in the league, a position that they have held for most of the season.  Wood have also added to their striking options in the last couple of weeks, taking Delano Sam-Yorke on loan from Forest Green.  Former Harrier Ricky Shakes should feature in their side.

Earlier in the season Zaine Francis-Angol scored on his first start to earn Harriers a share of the spoils in a 1-1 draw, the only other time the teams have met.

I expect Harriers to line-up as follows (4-2-3-1): Snedker; Hodgkiss, Francis-Angol, Lowe, Langmead; Fané, Maxwell; Dawson, Ngwatala, Whitfield; White.
Subs (from): Singh, Garnett, Patrick, Gnahoua, Tunnicliffe, Jones, Williams, Sweeney, Taylor, Brown, Hancocks, McQuilkin.
Missing (on-loan): Rowe-Turner, Verma, Spencer, Digie, Hales, Forsyth, Millichamp.

The referee this afternoon will be Craig Hicks from Surrey.  this will be his fourth time in charge of a Harriers game; most recently being the 3-2 win at Forest Green Rovers last season.  The three games that he has done previously have seen two Harriers wins and a draw.

This afternoon's weather is forecast to be cloudy and windy with a temperature of 11°C and a 20% chance of rain.
